The Department of Student Services and Alumni aims at enhancing student experience.
It strives to provide resources to help students broaden their horizons socially and culturally, to think outside the box, to further develop their leadership and communication skills, to connect with the community, to embrace diversity, and ultimately to have a full student experience.
Student Services offer a range of support services and facilitates personal and professional development opportunities. We are committed to providing students with a responsive service and, through our offerings, we seek to contribute to International Faculty's vision and mission in striving to be an outstanding teaching, learning and research university. As a student-centered service, we are dedicated to enabling our students to succeed academically, become engaged citizens and to reach their full potential. Our approach is holistic and developmental, encouraging our students to become well-rounded individuals who are able to make significant contributions in all walks of life.
A major subdivision of the Department is that of Career Planning, focusing on helping students to set attainable career goals. The Department runs workshops on employability and skills’ assessment. Further than this it offers advice on CVs, cover letters, and on how to effectively handle job interviews. Through annual career fairs, company visits, guest lectures and internship programmes, the department aims at bringing students in contact with prospective employers. Through on-going collaboration with the University of Sheffield Enterprise Unit we give to our students the opportunity to participate in worldwide competitions, to on-line professional development training and career opportunities at different parts of the world.
