Scholarships for current students

Scholarships & Award Winners for Academic Year 2015-16 (PDF)

Scholarships offered for academic year 2015-2016:

 

1. THE PRINCIPAL’S MEDAL

  1. Frequency of award: One annually
  2. Value of award: Partial Fee Waiver of 50% on the full Tuition Fees for any of the College’s Masters Programme
  3. Eligible candidates: All 3rd level undergraduate students of the College
  4. Assessor: The Principal
  5. Criteria for assessment: The graduates who demonstrate the highest level of academic excellence and are awarded a first class degree.

 

2. THE STRATIS STRATEGAKIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Founded in memory of Stratis Strategakis, the Founder of CITY COLLEGE

  1. Frequency of award: Three annually
    (The three students to be awarded the scholarship should be from different departments)
  2. Value of award: Partial Fee Waiver of 25% on the full Tuition Fees each
  3. Eligible candidates: All 1st level undergraduate students
  4. Assessors: The International Faculty Executive Board (IFEB)
  5. Criteria for assessment: The three best 1st level students that have achieved a first class weighted point average.

 

3. THE ADMINISTRATION BOARD SCHOLARSHIPS

  1. Frequency of award: Three annually
    (The three students to be awarded the scholarship should be from different departments)
  2. Value of award: Partial Fee Waiver of 25% on the full Tuition Fees each
  3. Eligible Candidates: All 2nd level Undergraduate students
  4. Assessors: The Administration board of the College
  5. Criteria for assessment: The three best 2nd level students that have achieved a first class weighted point average.

 

4. THE PAUL MARSHALL AWARDS (FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE)

Founded to honor the contribution Mr. Paul Marshall has made to the development of the College.

  1. Frequency of award: One annually
  2. Value of award: 500 Euros.
  3. Eligible Candidates: All 1st and 2nd level Undergraduate students of the Business Administration & Economics Department
  4. Assessors: The Academic Board of the Business Administration & Economics Department
  5. Criteria for assessment: Overall Outstanding performance. The student’s weighted point average should be either first class or class two division one.

 

5. THE PROF. MIKE HOLCOMBE AWARDS (FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE)

Founded to honor the contribution Prof. Mike Holcombe has made and continues to make to the development of the College.

  1. Frequency of award: One annually
  2. Value of award: 500 Euros.
  3. Eligible Candidates: All 1st and 2nd level Undergraduate students of the Computer Science Department
  4. Assessors: The Academic Board of the Computer Science Department
  5. Criteria for assessment: Overall outstanding performance. The student’s weighted point average should be either first class or class two division one.

 

6. THE PSYCHOLOGY STUDENT AWARD (FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE)

  1. Frequency of award: One annually
  2. Value of award: 500 Euros.
  3. Eligible Candidates: All 1st and 2nd level Undergraduate students of the Psychology Department
  4. Assessors: The Academic Board of the Psychology Department
  5. Criteria for assessment: Overall outstanding performance. The student’s weighted point average should be either first class or class two division one.

 

7. THE MOST IMPROVED STUDENT AWARD

  1. Frequency of award: Three annually
    (The three students to be awarded the scholarship should be from different departments)
  2. Eligible Candidates: All 2nd level students of the College
  3. Assessors: The International Faculty Executive Board (IFEB)
  4. Criteria for assessment: The student who has demonstrated the greatest improvement in overall performance.

 

8. THE ACADEMIC HONORARY STAFF AWARDS

  1. Frequency of award: Three annually. One for each Department.
  2. Eligible Candidates: All students of the College
  3. Assessors: The Academic boards of the Departments
  4. Criteria for assessment: May vary and will be decided by the Academic board of each Department

 

9. THE FINAL YEAR PROJECT AWARD

  1. Frequency of award: Two annually.
  2. Eligible Candidates: All postgraduate and 3rd level undergraduate students of Computer Science.
  3. Assessors: The Academic Board of the Computer Science Department.
  4. Criteria for assessment: The best dissertation project from MSc in Business Management and Technology, MSc in Software Engineering and Telecommunications and the best 3rd level dissertation project.
