With his insightful presentation Mr Pavlidis George addressed a number of misconceptions about ageing, including that: being older than 50 is accompanied by the catholic decline in abilities, the prevalence of negative emotions, and the dominance of illness. The speaker explored why ageing as a process is not the sum of inescapable routes endured passively throughout life. Rather than that, there are reasons why one should be grateful of being able to age, in a manner that allows to claim one's own life at any age.
