Dr Barkoukis discussed doping as one of the major issues in sports psychology, since today the use of doping substances has increased not only among athletes but also among people who workout. The speaker presented data from recent studies on demographic characteristics, motives, trends, social and ethical norms of drugs users and the ways these characteristics can affect an athlete’s decision to make use of drugs and supplements.

Dr Barkoukis presentation raised a lot of questions by the audience and concluded with an interesting Q&A.
