Dr Frosso Kalyva, Senior Lecturer at our Psychology Department made a very interesting presentation entitled 'Behavioural problems and ways to address them' in the frame of the ‘Psychology for all’ series. The event took place on Wednesday, 4 March 2015 at our main campus in Thessaloniki and was well-attended.
Dr Kalyva discussed the increase of stress during childhood and adolescence that may lead to behavioural problems, together with parenting techniques and personality characteristics. In her presentation Dr Kalyva suggested ways in which behavioural problems can be addressed in the family and also at school where young people spend most of their day. Dr Kalyva also referred to victimisation as one of the main behavioural problems in today’s world.
The presentation was highly interactive and engaging. The audience found Dr Kalyva’s presentation particularly enlightening and helpful.
