Level of Qualifications
According to the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications of EU, the level of qualifications assigned to our undergraduate programmes (BA, BSc) is 6 and to postgraduate programmes (MA, MSc, MBA) is 7.
The degree that our graduates receive, when they complete their studies, corresponds to the above-mentioned level of qualifications.
Our graduates receive the degree of the University of York.
The degrees are awarded directly by the University of York, are the same as those awarded to students who studied in the UK and confer the same professional rights in the UK.
The Diploma Supplement follows the model developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES. The purpose of the supplement is to provide sufficient independent data to improve “transparency” and fair academic and professional recognition of qualifications.
The Diploma Supplement is is granted to our graduates. It provides the following information to all interested parties:

The degrees of the University of York that our graduates receive are recognised and certified by UK ENIC.
UK ENIC, the ‘UK National Information Centre’ is the official national agency in the UK which is responsible for the recognition of academic and professional rights and privileges of degree holders from UK Universities.
UK ENICis able to confirm that holders of the University of York degrees who studied at CITY College, should be accorded the same professional and academic rights and privileges as any holders of any UK degree.
CITY College is the Europe Campus of the University of York and all its students who successfully complete their studies for the University of York programmes are graduates of the University of York. Τhe University of York is the awarding body of your degree. The University of York is a recognized British University meaning that the university degrees issued by the University are automatically recognized as UK university qualifications.
The degrees have full academic and professional recognition in the UK. The UK ENIC, the designated national agency for the recognition and comparison of international qualifications and skills of UK, certifies that the degrees are entitled to the same professional and academic rights and privileges of a UK university degree. In addition, the UK ENIC is the UK representative in a wider operation of European Network of Information Centres (ENIC) across Europe, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA. All our graduates are entitled to receive upon request a UK ENIC certificate certifying the above.
CITY College is a private legal entity located in Thessaloniki, Greece, where it operates as a College according to the local law. CITY College is licensed by the Greek Ministry of Education and operates according to law no 3696/2008 on the establishment and operation of Colleges (official gazette no A’ 177) and 4093/2012 (official gazette no A’ 222). In Greece, following the relevant legislation and procedures, the awarded degrees are recognised by the Greek state through the relevant Board of the Ministry of Education, “ATEEN”. They are granted professional recognition and the graduates have the right to exercise, as higher education graduates, their profession in the public and private sector (Presidential decree 38/2010). Due to the restrictions of the Greek Constitution, the degrees are not granted academic recognition locally in Greece.
