Overview:

Personality plays a crucial role in social interaction as in our life choices, while patterns deviating from the mean are a major cause for various psychiatric disorders. However, it is still not well understood how personality is represented within the brain. The main reason for that is the large sample size needed, from various neuroimaging modalities, so as to sufficiently capture interindividual variability of personality in normal population. In this webinar we will investigate how individual differences in personality may be expressed in brain activity patterns, which may form the basis for the development of a neurobiologically informed model, by integrating large-scale multimodal brain data and personality measures through efficient and novel mathematical modelling. Moreover, we are going to see how this can be translated into real world applications, by demonstrating a framework for the automatic recognition of personality using mainly EEG signals.
