Dr. Afentoula Mavrodi has studied Accounting and Finance at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece, graduating first in her cohort. She received her MSc in International Health Management from Imperial College Business School, London, UK, with Distinction graduating with the Best Overall Performance in her class, in 2011. She completed her PhD in Business Administration at the University of Macedonia, with a focus on the research area of health economics. For her PhD research she obtained a scholarship of excellency from Onassis Foundation. She has worked as a consulting analyst in the pharmaceutical sector in London, UK, and as a freelance health economist and healthcare consultant in both private and public institutions in Germany and Greece within the framework of two telehealth projects ("Renewing Health" and "United4Health") funded by the European Commission.
