Dr Pavlidis is a graduate of the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, City College. Prior to his studies, he was a professional basketball player for 13 years in Germany, Greece and Spain. In the past, he has been the president of the Hellenic Professional Basketball Players Association. Currently he is in the scientific committee and co-owner of 50plus Hellas, a non-profit NGO that deals with issues of older individuals' interest. Mr Pavlidis has coordinated several seminars adn workshops  undertaken in the premises of City College. He has been awarded with the Santander Mobility Award three times, the Sheffield Graduate Award, and has received other several scholarships and grands during his bachelor and doctoral studies. His is and was involved in several European Research Projects, namely the SILVER project, the Knowledge Volunteers, and the Active Senior Citizens for Europe, the HelpCare project, SafeYou and SafeYou+, the EUcareNet, as well as in international projects such as the CoahMade, and local project such the "Access to the Digital World". 

Teaching

Dr. Pavlidis teaches Psychology of Ageing and undertakes the workshops for students' final year research project
