Andreas Baresel-Bofinger has been lecturing Master and Bachelor courses at the Business Administration and Economics Department of the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, CITY College in subjects such as Entrepreneurship, Global Supply Chain Management, Information Technology and Management, and Computing Skills for Business.

He is Managing Partner of Wilhelm Bofinger GmbH & CoKG, Germany, and co-founder of the Hellenic Business Angels Network – HeBAN.

In his position as Project Manager at the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC) in Thessaloniki he has been strongly involved in the facilitation of innovation and entrepreneurship and the fostering of the investment and growth readiness of innovative SMEs and start-up companies in the SEE region. Andreas served as Advisory Board Member at the InnovationFarm Stage One Accelerator in Thessaloniki.

In the past he held the position of Management Consultant at the Incubator of Technopolis Thessaloniki ICT Business Park, the first private Business Park in Greece for high tech and knowledge-intensive enterprises. Before, for many years he was Coordinator of European projects at SEPVE, the Association of IT Companies of Northern Greece, where he successfully managed the acquisition and administration of major multinational projects funded by the European Commission in such diverse fields as the advancement of the Information Society to the research and business community, the promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation, the strengthening of SME competitiveness, the improvement of the social dialogue and the standardisation of labour skills qualifications, as well as legal knowledge transfer.

Andreas has studied French, law, philosophy, business administration and economics at the Institut Catholique in Paris, the Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen, the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University, and the University of Sheffield. He holds a BA (Honours) in Accounting and Finance and an MSc in Information Systems (with Distinction). Currently he is also pursuing a part-time PhD in Green Supply Chain Management. His papers have been presented at national and international conferences.
