Departmental Teaching, Learning and Assessment Committee

The Departmental TLA Committee (DLTAC) monitors the progress of the agreed actions with regards to student progress, achievement and engagement of each programme offered by the Department. The Committee:

• monitors all aspects of education provision quality during the semester,
• discusses the progress of students and suggests possible solutions to issues raised,
• disseminates good practice in learning, teaching and assessment,
• discusses the feedback from students (Tutoring, SSC, NSS, SEQs, Focus Groups, etc)
• is informed about strategies and policies agreed, decisions and actions taken in the Departmental Academic Board as well as College and University Committees.

The DLTAC is chaired by the Head of the Department and meets at least twice per semester. All full-time and part-time members as well as course administrators of the Department are members of this Board. Occasionally student representation is sought as well as presence of professional and student services.
